As EncorePharma's Vice President of Research Operations & Development, Dr. Elaine Benaksas, assumes final responsibility for all of EncorePharma's research projects. She is highly experienced in the areas of contract management, patent management, and proposals. In addition, she has an extensive background in basic research in the field of medicinal chemistry.

Her credentials include:
· Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Medicine at Loma   Linda University.
· Co-investigator of NIH-sponsored research regarding control of    extracellular volume
· Ph.D. degree in chemistry from the University of California, Los   Angeles
· Author of multiple scientific publications, including an extensive review   of the field of extracellular fluid volume control and natriuretic   molecules.
